A graduate of Colby College and Boston College Law School, Scott served as a management professor at Boston College's Carroll School of Management from 1984-2019, teaching in both MBA and undergraduate programs. In the 1990s, he helped build White & McDermott, P.C. into a prominent corporate law firm, representing over 100 entrepreneurial and technology companies in areas including growth, infrastructure development, capital raising, and M&A transactions. From 2000-2007, he worked as an operating executive in enterprise software, network security, and electronic security integration, focusing on business development, partnerships, and operations. Throughout his 40-year career, Scott has served in diverse roles including investor, consultant, professor, corporate lawyer, general counsel, technology executive, and trusted advisor.
